Your ID card can be a starting point for getting help.

Some school, college or institutional ID cards may include a 1QR4.me-enabled QR code or service instruction. When your card is supported, it can provide a route to the configured emergency-contact workflow. The exact steps depend on the card and the way the institution has set it up.

Check that your card is supported

Look for the 1QR4.me mark, QR code or instructions provided with your card. If you are unsure, contact the school or organisation that issued it, or use the support route before relying on the service.

Get your contacts ready

If registration is required, follow the instructions shown on the card or provided by your institution. Add the emergency contacts requested by the setup flow, complete any verification and consent steps, and keep your details current.

What happens when the card is used?

A person who scans a supported card or follows its instructions can start the configured reporting journey. Where enabled, the service uses a call-bridging workflow so that the parties are not shown each other’s phone numbers in the bridged call. Follow-up features vary by configuration.

Important to know

Not every ID card automatically works with 1QR4.me. The card must be enabled for the service, and the instructions may differ by institution. Keep the card legible and follow any guidance from the issuer.
